The housing unit is thought as the cell of an urban development proposition. It incorporates traditional techniques - the artisanal clay brick and basic wood construction with an industrial pre-molded concrete beam which resolves the support of every two neighboring houses in the centre of the building system.

Our proposal builds on the concept of multiple-duty infrastructure, presenting a building system where an economic pre-moulded concrete beam provides basic services such as sanitation, drainage, water management and energy supply to the housing unit.

An integrated approach to housing development must include adequate outdoor spaces for the young (kindergarten and basic school) and the women (tank and laundry area). Is also proposed to include a traditional Jango on every neighbourhood.
